Storage Options
FEDTEK offers the following storage options, including:
- High-end heterogeneous storage: storage systems that are generally multiple terabytes in capacity and support heterogeneous servers, including mainframes, UNIX and NT. High performance, high reliability and broad application offerings characterize these systems.
- Midrange storage systems: storage systems that are usually less than one terabyte that support multiple operating systems, but usually not at the same time. Midrange systems usually do not have as much performance and reliability or support as many applications as high-end storage.
- Server-attached storage: external storage systems that are connected to a single server and support a single operating system.
- Network-attached storage: storage that is connected not to a server or group of servers but to a local area network. Network-attached storage primarily functions in the same way as file servers.
- Storage area networks: SANs are separate back-end networks comprising of servers, storage arrays and tape backup devices. By off-loading data movement from the LAN, SANs free up bandwidth for computing purposes. The SAN can be either IP or Fibre based. Basic Installation Services
